Remember Mothers Day!

Hi everyone ๐Ÿ˜€
its not long to mothers day now, sunday 11th march 2018, i thought i would get on and make some cards,
the items you will need are
1 Base card  folded in half and cut down to 11 1/2 x 5 3/4 i used purple
3 pink at pieces of cardstock at  5 1/2 x 2 1/2
3 light grey pieces of cardstock at 5 1/4 x 2 1/4
3 pieces of patterned paper at 5 1/8 x 2 1/8

i adhered these together using double sided tape starting with the pink, then the light grey and then on the top the patterned paper, i put adhered these to the purple cardstock, making sure that the gaps were equal between the three panels,
i then got another piece of purple cardstock measuring 6 1/2 x 4 1/4
1 pink piece of cardstock measuring 6 1/4 x 4
and then a piece of light grey cardstock measuring 6 x 3 3/4
using a corner stamp which had flowers on and using Wild Wasabi ink i stamped this image onto the bottom left corner of the grey cardstock and then using gel pens i coloured in the leaves and flowers ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒธ
Then using some pink , light grey and purple cardstock and my nesting pansy dies i cut out petals in 3 sized one for each of the colours
I then adhered them together to make a flower and added an adhesive pearl to each one  then arranged them onto the cardstock and then adhered them with liquid glue, i also on the right hand side of the grey cardstock stamped the sentiment on the front,
for the insert i cut a piece of premium paper slightly shorter and narrower than the base cardstock and then stamped the same corner flower stamp onto the bottom left and top right of the insert and then stamped the sentiment in the middle,

i hope you like it, i really am please with how this has turned out ๐Ÿ˜ค

please feel free to leave a comment or ask any questions, happy crafting, take care ๐Ÿ˜Š

Mothers Day is coming!

Hi everyone! ๐Ÿ˜€
Mothers day is coming very soon, not long till 11th march, i thought i would get some designs done, i hope you like this one, the items you will need are

1 sheet a4 cardstock in blue, this measures 8 1/4 x 5 1/2 fold in half and burnish
1 sheet patterned paper, of your choice i used a pale coral colour that had a paisley pattern on it, this measured 8 1/8 x 5 1/4
 some flourish and leaf dies
Stampin Up wild wasabi (pale green) cardstock to which i adhered some double sided stick sheet to it and then using the flourish and leaf dies i cut 2 flourishes and 4 leaves with the sticky adhesive sheet on the back and then
2 flourishes and 4 leaves with nothing on the back , still in the wild wasabi green cardstock
and put them to one side
I got two doilies which i adhered together with double sided tape, just to make it stronger and i cut one quarter our of it
i folded the two cut ends backwards so they met behind the doily and it mad a little pouch, i put double sided tape onto the outside of the two cut edges so that when you folded it back you could adhere the back to the cardstock to make a little pocket, this will be the `wrapping` for our bouquet of flowers ๐ŸŒธ
i thin adhered the flourishes and leaves around the top of the doilies onto the patterned paper. Using the StampinUp Calypso Coral cardstock i stamped in calypso coral ink some pansy stamps using StampinUp flower shop stamp set , then using my punch i punched out 14 of the pansies, i then used my nesting pansy dies and cut out 7 of the smallest size pansies and i adhered them together to make them look like flower petals, laying one petal between the gap of two petals to give the all round flower look, then adhered the smallest one to the middle and added a white pearl to the centre, i then arranged them onto the top of the card and adhered them using liquid glue. I then used a banner stamp and stamped out the sentiment, cut around it and using double sided tape adhered that to the card. I made a triple bow in white and using a hot glue gun adhered this to the bottom of the doily. U think the colours work well and im really pleased with it, i hope you like it too, please feel free to comment or ask any questions, take care happy crafting! ๐Ÿ˜

3D stand out easter card

Items used
Green Cardstock
Double sided sticky sheet
1 Butterflowers border die
Gel pens or other colouring pens
Tonic Studios small flower punch
Stamping Up you`re inspiring stamp set
Ink and colour of your choice, i used Stampin Up Wild Wasabi ink
Card base whatever size you want i used 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 square card base
Tiny adhesive pearls
Bunny die

Hi Everyone ๐Ÿ˜€
I fancied doing a 3d easter card, i had just purchased a meadow flower die ๐ŸŒป and wanted to see how it would look in 3d. Firstly i got some green cardstock and adheres a piece of double sided adhesive to the back they come in big a4 sheets and you cut off the amount you want, peel off the back and then adhere that to the cardstock, it is very handy when doing intricate die cutting as it is easier than trying to stick tiny slithers of double sided tape to the intricasies of the die, I put my butterflower border die (thats what it is called) through my Big Shot four times, twice with green cardstock that had double sided adhesive on it and twice without. ๐Ÿ’š I did it four times because of the size of my card base, you just adjust it to the size of your cardbase mat layer.
I used a mat layer on my card, i used a mat layer, but you can adhere it to your base card if you choose it doesnt matter. I used my stampendous happy easter wooden stamp to stamp the image onto the cardstock, i then peeled the  backing off the first to pieces of the green cardstock and adhered it to the bottom of my mat layer,

I then using my glue pen adhered the second layer or green die cut cardstock on top of the first layer, but i only placed the glue on the bottom of the die cut, this left the leaves sticking up to give the 3d effect. Now the fun part ๐Ÿ˜ using my gel pens or whatever pens you have you can colour the flowers and butterflies whatever colour you want, i  then used my bunny die and using again the adhesive sheet stuck to the back of the cardstock i cut out several little bunnies ๐Ÿ‡ and then peeling off the back adhered them to the card, i tucked some behind the first layer of the border to make it look like the bunnies were in the grass, i had a tiny butterfly die and i die cut several of them in various colours and adhered them to the cardstock to make it look like they were flying. Using my tonic studios small flower punch i punched out some little tiny flowers in different colours ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ’ฎ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒผ and adhered them to the border die cut meadow, some at the front and some on the bottom layer, to give depth, i then got some tiny half pearls and adhered them to the centre of the flower this made the flowers stand out more with beautiful centres, I coloured in the stamped sentiment in lovely bright colours, The bright colours made it look spring like to me, i loved it, what do you think, I hope you like it , 3d cards are fun to make and i hope you agree they make a delightful unusual card ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Easter Eggstravaganza!

Hi everyone ๐Ÿ˜Š
Hope you are well, im still on my easter theme, and was excited to receive in the post yesterday some easter egg dies from the marianne collections and was eager to have a play! ๐Ÿ˜€
I had some lovely designer series paper from Stampin Up and my favourite lavender cardstock i decided would go well together. I used the intricate die from the collection and the largest of the plain nesting dies, i used the intricate die on the designer paper and the plain largest one for the lavender cardstock, before i used it i put some double sided stick sheet adhesive on the back of both pieces of designer series paper and the cardstock, when you have an intricate design on a die there isnt a lot of cardstock or paper left after cutting to put sticky tape or even liquid glue on easily and makes it a lot harder to stick to you project ๐Ÿ˜’ so if you put the adhesive sheet on first and then die cut it , it makes it easier to stick to afterwards ๐Ÿ˜ค but you may be better running it through your big shot or whatever machine you have a couple of times just to make sure the die has cut all the way through the cardstock and the adhesive sheet, it just makes it easier to take the backing and get the die cut pieces out afterwards ๐Ÿ˜

I got my favourite tool out then which is my long reach ribbon hole punch which is punched in the botton of the cardstock and then i thread my ribbon through which is very easy to do, i used a contrasting gold ribbon to go with the designer series paper which was cream and gold.
I had some sticky ribbon which had a lovely tulip design on it ๐ŸŒทwhich was exactly the same colour as the lavender cardstock which i stuck down the sides of the card mat layer and then taking my Stampin Up Hello Easter stamp set i stamped the sentiment in lavender ๐Ÿ’œ
What do you think , i think it looks lovely, and i love the colour combination, my favourite colour combo by far. Hope you have a great day, take care and happy crafting

Enjoying Easter Preparations

Hi everyone, nice to be talking to you again ๐Ÿ˜Š
Today ive done another type of easter card it is what i call aformal type but a bit different, The base cardstock is lilac, which i scored in half on the long side and then folded and creased it i then cut it in half down from the crease to make 2 tent shape card bases out of one a4 pieces of cardstock. Lilac is one of my favourite colours ๐Ÿ’œ and with the green which is one of my favourite colour combos ๐Ÿ’š and i wanted to put them together for this card. I use a variety of craft items for my cards depending on what takes my fancy. The purple ink from i didnt want a vivid impression as it can be a bit much so i didnt press down too hard and gave it a faded look, and then i did the same with the blushing bride pink colour, then using my pansy punch i punched them out
I then used the wild wasabi green ink and stamped some leaves ๐Ÿƒand then fussy cut around them, why it is called fussy cutting i dont know maybe its because it is a bit fussy to do ๐Ÿ˜ but if you havent a punch you can cut them out and it gives it a really 3d effect.I then made a white cardstock layer which is just slightly smaller than the base so you see the lilac around the edge, i then took another piece of white cardstock just slightly smaller than the mat layer and using an embossing folder i had i placed the cardstock in the middle, because it is smaller than the embossing folder i wanted to make sure it was central and then it will get the embossing around the edge and leave the central piece clear.

the embossing folder came off the front of a magazine, i then ran it through my big shot. Then i used my Stampinup Cross of Dies set to cut out two crosses ✞ ✟ one in white and one in lilac, then i adhered them to the front of my white cardstock mat layer and added the pansy flowers with the fussy cut leaves, the label i cut out using the die in lilac i then traced onto white cardstock the label die and then cut inside to line to make it slightly smaller than the lilac die cut label. Then when adhered i stamped the happy easter sentiment on it from the you`re inspiring stamp set, usually i would stamp the sentiment first then die cut it out etc but i forgot and had to do it this way and luckily it worked out straight lol. I think the flowers give it a softer look and i love the colour combination, what do you think? ๐Ÿ’ฎ
I hope you like it, take care and see you next time ๐Ÿ˜€

More Easter madness!

Hi im enjoying the Easter Theme, and just doing a variation with what i have to hand, I used again the same base cardstock pre cut base,  and using a spare piece of cardstock i  stamped the easter sentiment in light brown ink. Coloured it in again, which is very therapeutic and also each one will be different, the i used again my ribbon hole maker . Then for a change i fussy cut around the top half of my easter sentiment ✂
I then had a bunny die and decided to cut out two bunnies in two different colours ๐Ÿ‡
I then adhered them to the fussy cut piece of cardstock and then thread my ribbon through and then adhered it all to the cardstock base. I decided to stamp the flap of my envelope with another little bunny, just to add to the cuteness, who wouldnt smile seeing a little bunny on the back of their envelope? and you can never have too many bunnies ๐Ÿฐ
have a great day ๐Ÿ˜Š

A more traditional Easter Card

I again used my ready prepared card base and a spare piece of cardstock i stamped the bloom from the heartfelt bloom stampset from stampinup, for the background and then fussy cut it out ✂

i then adhered it to the base cardstock, i then got a piece of lavender coloured cardstock and stuck to the back of it a double sided sheet ๐Ÿ’œ
this just helps you stick the diecut piece to the card more easily,  which is sometimes hard to do when it is intricately cut leaving you little room to stick normal double sided tape
i used the cross of hope thinlits dies and chose a lovely designed cross from the selection ✟
I then adhered the cross to the bloom background, and using the same green ink i stuck the happy easter sentiment to the bottom of the card, i think it looks nice and the colours go well together. I also made an insert for the card which i like to do as i think it just finishes the card off, i just cut the insert paper slightly smaller than the card base and used the thin red backed double sided tape to adhere it to the card inside.
hope you like it ๐Ÿ˜Š

Cute multi coloured Easter Card

Well on the theme of getting ahead, i thought i would get ahead with my easter cards. Both cute and a more religious type, i still enjoy the process of designing them. ๐Ÿ˜Š
Here is my cute card for easter. ๐Ÿ‡ Firstly why make your own cardbases when there are so many makes of ready to use card bases out there, it is probably cheaper and more economical both in value for money and waste, and also saves you time too, it can be a good idea to make your own if you have a specific design in mind then yes make your own. I also used a matt layer which i cut down to slightly smaller than the base cardstock. I have a great long reach ribbon hole maker which i bought from ebay and absolutely love, easy to use and well worth buying if you like using bows and ribbons and it isnt expensive either. ๐Ÿฐ
I also bought a brilliant stamp from stampendous with a cute Easter Sentiment on it then, i used my gel pens, on the design for a bit of extra colour, Who doesnt like colouring , right? ๐Ÿ˜ I also added a little liquid glue to make sure the ribbon sat on the card and then adhered that to the base cardstock with double sided foam tape. Just a cute and easy card to do,
now its just a case of not eating all the chocolate easter eggs before easter! ๐Ÿ˜ค
enjoy your day

More Mothers Day!

Hi everyone ๐Ÿ˜
Nice that i can make my cards whilst watching the ladies GB curling team at the olympics! ๐Ÿ‘€ Im still doing my mothers day cards at the moment, I saw a lovely pink piece of cardstock and thought ooh i will use my daisy punch and punch out some petals! ๐ŸŒธ i stuck them together with glue dots to give them some definition, I had some lovely pearls which i stuck onto the petals to accentuate the colour, and using my corner die i cut out some greenery for the corner of the card ๐ŸŒฟ
I used my nesting die to cut out the cardstock for the sentiment. The sentiment says it all for me. ๐Ÿ’•  This sentiment comes from the stampin up stamp set `you`re inspiring` and i stamped the die cut tag out in pink ink, then with my tiny butterfly and dragonfly dies i cut out some from pink and white cardstock and using a q tip i inked the edges of the butterflies, and arranged them so that they looked like they were inflight, their wings sticking up from the card. ✂

I added an insert to finish off the card and with a slightly bigger butterfly i adhered it to the flap of the envelope. Im pleased with it i hope you like it too. ๐Ÿ˜Š
take care and have a great day

Getting ahead for Mothers Day

Hi everyone! ๐Ÿ˜
Today i thought i would get ahead and make some mothers day cards, to show you. The actual design is from a lady called Lea Denton on youtube  the design is so lovely i couldnt wait to try it.
The inks i have used are from Hobbycraft, the cardstock is some i had in my stash, The wonderful stamp punch set i used was the flower shop and pansy punch from stampinup, i picked some colours from the inks to stamp up the flowers first then punched them out with the punch, then i used the tiny flower punch from tonic studios in the same colour as the flowers and put tiny pearl embellishments in the centre of them. ๐Ÿ’ฎ
The patterned paper i used was just some i had in my stash, you can use whatever takes your fancy, i have had these for a long time. I used a nesting tag die for the sentiment on the front and used the beautiful stampinup stamp set youre inspiring for the apt sentiment for the front of the card. I think this is a beautiful card , one i would like to think any mum would like to receive and the fact that my grandson pinched one of these to give to his mum, my daughter, well thats fine by me. ๐Ÿ˜€
thanks for reading,
